WILL BLACKBEARD COME TO WANO?
With the 1000th chapter of One Piece sending waves across the whole OP fandom, Oda finally gave Luffy that overpowered moment against two of the biggest Yonkos in the world. And that is just the beginning of the long overhyped and awaited fight between Luffy and the two Yonkos – Big Mom and Kaido. As things are getting incredibly heated up in Wano, what about the outside world? Is Blackbeard going to make an appearance in Wano?
Will Blackbeard make an appearance in Wano? |
The Wano arc seems to be coming to its conclusion as Luffy, Big Mom, Kaido, Kid and Law are all going to engage in a godly battle on the roof while Marco is confronting and keeping King and Queen away from the big showdown.
This fight is not only going to put into perspective the updated power levels and rankings between the Yonkos and the commanders, it is also going to be the foray into the new age of pirates as the “Worst Generation Pirates” take on the biggest Yonkos in the One Piece world. It is surely to cause tectonic shifts in the world and alert the world government and the pirate world to gear up for what’s coming to them.
As the scintillating exchange of Haki and blows starts to take place in Wano with the world’s most prominent pirates taking part, it is not out of place to suggest that another equally prominent pirate can make an appearance at Wano. It cannot be counted out of the realms of possibility since we have already seen how much Blackbeard, in true pirate fashion, likes to enjoy the spoils of war. Him coming to Wano with his crew at the consequential stage of the battle and taking away something big as another devil fruit from either of the two Yonkos. He has done that before and it is not that out-of-bounds an idea for it to happen again.
However, Blackbeard has already been shown to be wreaking havoc outside of Wano, with two of the most dangerous devil fruits at his arsenal, he has already made significant shake-ups with the revolutionaries and the world government. Blackbeard coming to Wano at this point would not make that much sense, seeing how this arc is about making Luffy and other members of the “Worst Generation Pirates” come to the forefront and take the spotlight in the world with more prominence than ever. Also, with Luffy, Kid and Law taking on Big Mom and Kaido and Blackbeard having killed Whitebeard back in Marineford, it is only logical for him to go for the last remaining big Yonko, Shanks.
The current point of the story can get a bit too crammed up with the addition of Blackbeard and the crew. Strawhats and others bagging a defining victory over the Yonkos would give the much needed cred that can rival that of Blackbeard who has arguably turned into the biggest threat outside of the world government at this point. Whatever may be the case, one thing is for sure – the eventual confrontation between Luffy and Blackbeard might surpass any other battle in the story so far, which only goes to show that there’s no lack of hype in this vast manga.
